- Q: When is the date that DuPont will stop producing Tyvek on the old lines?
- A: DuPont indicated there is no firm date established when they will stop producing medical grade Tyvek on the current assets. However, they plan to begin transitioning products as soon as they receive a letter from the FDA confirming functional equivalence of the new material. Their timeline calls for the transition to occur in 2014-2015. Please visit DuPont’s website.
- Q: How do I get my package into the DuPont transition protocol testing?
- A: The DuPont Tyvek Transition Protocol Participation Request form can be filled out on Perfecseal’s website. Follow the directions on the form and submit to perfecsealprotects@bemis.com.
- Q: Is the Tyvek changing? Please provide me with the information pertaining to the DuPont Tyvek Transition.
- A: To meet growing global demand and to help ensure greater continuity and flexibility of future supply, DuPont will be transitioning Tyvek® 1073B and Tyvek® 1059B to manufacturing lines that use DuPont’s latest flash-spinning technology. Please visit DuPont’s website.
