Perfecseal Philadelphia Registration to ISO 13485:2003 Completes Registration of All Perfecseal Facilities in the Continental US

OSHKOSH, WI (August 4, 2009) — Perfecseal, a Bemis Company and global market leader in the medical device and pharmaceutical packaging industries, announces registration to the ISO 13485:2003 Medical Device Quality Management System for its manufacturing facility in Philadelphia, PA. This completes the registration of all four Perfecseal facilities in the continental U.S. to this new standard, including: Philadelphia, PA; Mankato, MN; Oshkosh, WI; and New London, WI. ISO 13485:2003 specifies requirements for quality management systems in which organizations demonstrate the ability to provide medical devices and related services that consistently meet both customer and regulatory requirements.

According to Matt Boswell, Director of Quality, "Perfecseal is in the process of upgrading our global ISO certifications from ISO 9001:2000 to ISO 13485:2003. We have plans for all locations worldwide to be certified to this new ISO standard in 2009."
